We're having serious problems with hosting - some errors may happen from time to time. This will be fixed shortly, please be patient.

The Most Common Error Messages, Explained

Bad Tracker Data

This means that the tracker is having problems – it's down, or sending an error page, or something else entirely. Wait for a while and see if it clears itself up.

Error When Connecting to Peers

There are no users to connect to, or you're simply not doing it. Leave your client on for a while, and you should spark up a connection or two.

Windows Cannot Find... c:\*A whole bunch of technical stuff*

This one's an easy fix. Either download the torrent to your hard drive, or just clean out your temp interenet files. After that, just let your client run and you should be just fine.

Insufficient Amount of Space

This means that your hard drive isn't big enough to store the file you want to download. Either find a smaller one, clean out junk, or get another hard drive!

Problem Getting Response\No Such File

This is also a common problem. Try downloading the torrent to a special directory of your choice, and keep all the .torrent files in there. When you want to download this one, just double click on it, and your client should open right up.

Permission Denied

I get this one a lot! If you're client is still running in the background, and if you start more then one instance of the client, it get messy and tries to download the same thing twice, and eventually closes your client. Restart your client, or the PC itself, and you should be good to go.

Rejected by Tracker

Burn! Register with the site that hosts the torrent, and be logged in when you're trying to download it. That should clear it up.

Piece *Insert* Failed Hash Check, Redownloading

Ignore this message unless it happens a bunch of times – it downloaded a wrong piece, and is re-downloading the right one, that's all.

Upload Failed

The most likely cause is that the tracker is full. Just wait a bit and try again, or if you're at 1.0, don't worry about it.

Add_Torrent::Dead_Tracker

Well jeez; this one is kind of clear. The tracker that your torrent is trying to use isn't available. It's not gone forever, probably just down. Wait a while, or find another tracker with the same file.

Cannot Execute Free Script

Do you have software that blocks ads? Some firewalls have it built in, and most pop-up blockers do, too. If you have this, turn it off and try again, and if it's still not working, turn down the security settings in your browser.

Missing

Take out any ad-blockers, again.

No Known Mirrors

This usually means that the tracker is too busy, or having problems.

Web Page Filled with Errors

The torrent is dead, down, or overloaded, and there really isn't any way to tell which one it is.

Rejected By Tracker – Your Port is Blacklisted

This means you're using a default port to forward your connections. You need to change this, or many torrents won't be available to you.

Remember to forward the chosen port to the router and firewall as well, so everything is on the same page

Unrecognized Host, Invalid Passkey, Unregistered Torrent, or Missing Passkey?

Some torrent sites started keying torrents to certain members, and there's nothing you can do about it. If this is the first torrent you've downloaded, you may have a problem with your internet/proxy/client settings, and try a healthy torrent that anyone can download to check.

Requested Download is not Authorized for Use With This Tracker

Most commonly, this just means that the torrent isn't associated with the tracker anymore, but it can mean that your ports aren't set up right. Check them with a healthy, working torrent to find out.
